Below are some of the most common questions we receive about what we do, who we serve, and how we help clients. We’d welcome the chance to connect with you and start a conversation about what’s important to you.
What is it like to work with you?
Our Client Experience Page provides a good overview of the services we provide. If we decide we’re a good fit for each other we schedule a working meeting to understand your goals, worries, and finances together. We also introduce you to some of the tools we use to share information with clients help you stay updated on your portfolio. To complete your plan we’ll ask you for information such as statements of your investment accounts, tax returns, estate planning documents, and social security statements. We utilize a secure vault to share documents to help protect your information and cybersecurity.
After we have your financial information we’ll begin working on your financial plan and your portfolio management. This helps us understand your long-term financial future and identify any urgent risks or threats we should address. We work with you to prioritize what steps to take to move you forward. For example, we may decide that creating an estate plan is an appropriate next step or replacing an old insurance policy.
As we prepare your financial plan we’ll review it with you and make adjustments. We’ll also propose an investment strategy for your portfolio. When you are comfortable we’ll implement your investment plan and continue working on your outstanding financial planning items. We’ll contact you throughout the year to update you on your portfolio, our work on your behalf, and planning items that we should address. We normally meet with clients in-person or virtually two to four times a year with phone conversations in-between those meetings. When helpful we’ll also schedule joint discussions with your other advisors such as your CPA or attorney.
Do you only work with clients face to face?
We serve clients in the Greenwood Village, the Denver Area, and clients across the country. We’re happy to meet in person and also work with clients virtually. Our tools allow us to share and receive information securely, host phone calls or video calls when convenient, and work collaboratively with clients using screen-sharing technology.
How do you protect and share information with me if we work virtually?
We take the security of our client’s information seriously. We ask clients to use an online document vault to upload documents to us securely instead of email. They can also fax us documents if that is easier. We also upload documents to the vault and use encrypted email to send information to clients securely.
